The Buffalo & Erie County Workforce Development Consortium, Inc. (WDC) seeks to fill the following position:
Case Manager – Trade and Economic Transition National Dislocated Worker
Summary: This is a professional level position that requires significant and specific knowledge of and expertise in case management, skills assessment, job search and job retention methods. This position requires the use of substantial independent judgement and strong communication/interpersonal skills to assess skill deficits and identify career resource and training opportunities for job seekers identified as Dislocated Workers. Responsibilities include skills assessment training program placement, compliance and reporting, case management and cross agency coordination to ensure the successful execution of a multi-year grant for Dislocated Workers.
The Pathways Navigator matches the customer's employment plan goal with available job training resources and cross functions with the Business Services Pathways Navigator II to coordinate resource and employer contacts and opportunities. Provides information to Career Counselor regarding the customers' progress and problems while engaged in workforce training. Provide post placement services to successful candidates completing training. Works closely with Career Counselor to assess the job readiness of each customer referred to the Center and assist the customer in addressing any identified deficiencies. Works as a team with the customer, Career Counselor and Business Services Pathways Navigator II to secure long-term employment at a self-sufficient wage for the customer.
All TET positions are grant funded through September 30, 2020, with a possible extension through June 2021.
